San Fran - September 6, 2008

This is why the rest of the country doesn't really know what to make of San Francisco. In fact, it's shit like this that makes me not understand San Francisco. WHY IS HE WATERING THE BUS?

That's just bizarre. Who says "hey, i want to change the world, and the best way to do that is to FUSE TWO BUSES TOGETHER AND MAKE THE TOP EDIBLE"?

Some days I feel adrift and lost in my own country, I just don't understand where we're at.

Mel,

Yes, it is a good strategy because now you have people (me) talking about it and posting about it. There's no better way to get your message out there than by getting people to talk about you.

But you have to understand the absurdity of walking down the street and seeing an upside down bus mounted on another bus with a guy watering the whole thing. That is not something you see everyday, or even once a week. Life isn't always strategy and new media. Sometimes, it's just weird.

It's not only a San Francisco thing, I saw the bus today at the Hollywood farmer's market in LA. They were selling organic lemonade for donations and getting people to sign petitions.
