Undercover

I must be getting important.

The head of the Los Angeles chapter for the Young Republicans bribed* me to come to a debate party for the republican debate tonight. There's a ton of media here and they're all focused on us as we watch the debate. It's a little like being in a fish bowl. A fish bowl with drink specials.

Now I'm going to sit here and pretend I care about what the republicans are talking about.

*He offered me, no shit, a handle of Jim Beam to come to this thing. I'm a sucker for whiskey.

UPDATE: Awesome, I just got interviewed by channel five. I look like ass and I haven't shaved in like three days. I had to spend like five minutes talking about what it's like to live blog the debate party. It was hard not to start laughing at the absurdity of it "uhh, yeah I'm here because my friend promised me free food and a handle of whiskey." I think they got enough for a sound clip though. I can't tell you how happy it makes me to be reduced to a sound clip.

UPDATE 2: Wherein I pretend I'm actually a republican and I give analysis of republican strategy. If you just saw that, I'm not really all "McCain in '08".
